Founder & Artist
Meet Mina Rezaei.
Mina is a contemporary visual artist based in Muscat. Drawing on surrealism, modern figuration and classical Iranian painting, she creates work that stops you in your tracks. She also runs this gallery.
Her work
Old patterns, new forms.
Traditional Iranian motifs such as the phoenix, flower and bird designs and carpet patterns meet modern forms and unexpected compositions. Her thoughtful, poetic outlook builds a deep link between ancient myth and the art of today.
Her path
Recognised early.
Born in 1971, Mina began painting as a child at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults in Gorgan. Her talent showed quickly. She won third place, a bronze medal and a diploma of honour at an international painting competition in Shanghai. In 2012 she repeated that success at the Oman Fine Arts Centre competitions, taking first place among the foreign entrants, with a cup, a cash prize and a certificate.
Exhibitions
Shown and honoured.
Mina held successful solo exhibitions at Bait Al Baranda in 2008 and Bait Al Zubair in 2018, two of Oman’s museums. In 2024 she received a medal and a certificate from the Paris Arts Center. Since 2019 she has run her own gallery in Muscat, where she shows and sells her work and teaches painting to children and adults.
